Rotwind
About
THE CODE IS SIMPLE: DELIVER THE CARGO. DON’T LOOK INSIDE. NEVER STOP MOVING.
Morgan Reed is a freelance courier, one of the few crazy enough to brave the Rotwind—the fungal storms choking the ruins of America. He thought he had seen every horror the wasteland could throw at him.
He was wrong.
When Director Langford of the New American Republic (NAR) personally hires him for a humanitarian run, the pay is too good to refuse. But the cargo isn't aid. It’s a secret that Monolith is willing to burn entire cities to keep buried.
Now, marked for death by NAR kill-teams and hunter-drones, Morgan’s only hope lies with Vex, a rogue tech with a grudge against the regime, and Ghost, a pre-collapse war machine loyal only to him. Together, they must navigate a world that wants them dead, from the neon-soaked markets of the Free City of Dulles to the snow-capped peaks of Colorado.
Morgan used to run for a paycheck. Now, he’s running to prevent the extinction of what’s left of humanity.
He must choose: vanish into the ruins to save himself...
Or become the spark that ignites a rebellion.
Praise for this book
This had everything that I enjoyed from the sci-fi genre, it uses the post-apocalyptic element that I was hoping for, and I enjoyed getting into this. The characters were so well written, and I thought the found family element worked well overall. It was a strong start to the Rotwind Saga series, and glad I was able to read this.
I really loved this book, it's well-written and engaging. The characters are interesting, and the love story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, which is out of the ordinary. That's good! I will read more books by this author because it is the first time I have discovered one.
